RC STOCKCAR RACING RULES
In effect as of the 1st June 2009
Chassis:
Constructed of steel, Stainless Steel, and or aluminium
Donor Vehicles:
1/10 Scale ONLY
Donor type is open
Donor Make is open
Drive Train:
4wd or 2wd is allowed
Vehicle Weight:
(Race ready - including battery pack)
Minimum - 2.8kgs
Maximum - 4.5kgs
Vehicle Dimensions:
Maximum width - 320mm
Maximum length - 450mm
Bumpers: (includes front, rear and sides):
Minimum height of 20mm (Measured from the ground to the bottom of the bumper)
Maximum height of 40mm (Measured from the ground to the bottom of the bumper)
Must sit proud by a minimum of 3mm of anything above or below bumpers.
(Excludes Wheel Guards)
Rear Wheel Guards:
(Excluded from Bumper Measurements)
Maximum length of 100mm
Must run parallel with side rails
Must be no larger than side rail thickness. (If side rails are 12mm in height,
gueards must not extend higher or lower than 12mm from top & bottom of side rail.)
Front Hoop:
All Cars must run a hoop above the front bumper
Minimum height of 60mm (measured from the ground)
Minimum width of 75mm (measured between uprights)
Front Bumper to Side Rail Clearance:
Side rails must finish in line or behind with the rear edge of the front rim
Minium clearance of 60mm
In front bumper damage occurs during racing, every effort must be made to correct.
(At Track Marshall and RC Speedway Committee's discretion)
Motors:
Must be a factory 23 or higher turned motor
Must have a factory fixed end bell.  
Brushed motors ONLY
Adjustable timing is not allowed
Brushless motors are not allowed
Armatures:
Must be a factory available armature
Must clearly display the # of turns as   tagged from the factory
Custom hand wound armatures are not allowed
NOTE:
If you are found to have an illegal motor, you are liable for a 1year stand down from racing.
If you are caught again after a stand down, you will be banned for life.
Esc:
Open
Batteries:
Must be secured to the inside of the vehicle.
NiCd & NiMH batteries ONLY
Must consist of   6 x 1.2v "Sub C' sized cells totaling 7.2v
Battery capacity is open
LiPo Batteries are NOT allowed
Wheels   and   Tyres:
Must be of 1/10 scale.
Tyre choice is open
Tyre grip aiding compunds are not allowed
Body's Bonnets & Wings:
Cars must run a body and bonnet that resembles a car body.
Body and bonnet must be fitted on race commencement
All care must be taken to ensure body and bonnet stay affixed at all times when racing.   (If body or bonnet is lost during racing, disqualification will not occur)
Wings must be confined to the drip rails of the body
Numbers:
Must be on both sides of the body.
Numbers on wings are optional
Tanks must display numbers on each side panel
NOTE:
Your Vehicle must resemble a STOCKCAR, not a box on wheels
NATIONAL RACE MEETINGS:
ALL National Electric R/C Stockcar Rules will be adhered to
ALL competing vehicles will be scrutineered by a representative of the hosting club, with help of the 2 members of the RC Speedway Committee.
1 Competitor may only race the 1 vehicle they get scrutineered
Entry fee is at the discretion of the hosting club
Whether by the request of the Track Marshal or not, at ANY time, any vehicle may be checked for compliance, by 3 officials, comprising of a host club representative, and 2 members of the RC Speedway Committee.
Transponders:
Will be used, but are NOT compulsory for competitors
Where ever feasible, the supplied AMBrc Transponder System will be used
It is every driver's responsibility to make sure transponders are working and fitted/attached correctly, so as to not detach during racing.
If fitted to a Body or Bonnet, and these get lost during racing, a DNF may ensue
It is the Host Clubs responsibility to make sure transponder hardware and software is working correctly
Qualifying:
3 heats per group (Open group numbers)
15   laps per race (Race numbers depending on groups)
Finals:
3 heats
20 laps per race

(The number of finalists at a national meeting must be between 16-20 cars)
If your vehicle is rolled onto its side or roof and is unable to continue, the race will be stopped, and the vehicle will be REMOVED from the track by the Track Marshall, and receive a DNF
To be classed as a finisher, your vehicle must complete the final lap of the race (Your car may be pushed across the finish line, ONLY if the pushing vehicle has not completed the final Lap)
All non-finishers will receive a DNF
Running gear can be replaced, but must retain the same steel stockcar chassis throughout the meeting
Every effort should be made to retain the original scrutineered vehicle
Protests will be heard by the Track Marshall, with final decision being made with the help of 2 members of the RC Speedway Committee
NATIONALS TEAMS MEETINGS:
Teams Rules:
General National Race Meeting rules will apply
The Team is to be made up of maximum of 5 vehicles, with a minimum of 4 drivers per team
Team entry fee is at the discretion of the hosting club
Racing will commence once a maximum of 4 vehicles from each team (maximum   total 8 cars) have gridded up to race
Which 4 vehicles are up to the discretion of the respective team
The 5th vehicle per team is a reserve, and must be removed
Once the race has started, there will be NO substitutions
If a particular team vehicle is elimated during racing, reserve rules apply, and the teams 5th vehicle, maybe substituted for the eliminated vehicle in the next race
Each club may only host the National Event for 2 consecutive years
Club Teams:
Each Club is able to enter a maximum of two teams
Winning Team:
The winning Team gains title and the Teams Club gains hosting rights
However if winning Club has hosted the Nationals for 2 consecutive years, the winning Team gains title, but hosting rights go to the 2nd place getting Team/Club
If the 2nd placed Team is a Select Team, then hosting rights go to their nominated Club
If the 2nd placed Team is the other Team of the winning club, and that Club has hosted the Nationals for 2 consecutive years, then hosting rights then got to the 3rd placed Team/Club
Again if the 3rd placed team is a Select Team, then hosting rights go to their nominated Club
Select Teams:
Select Teams are to consist of a maximum of 5 vehicles, a minimum of 4 drivers from various clubs per team, with a maximum of 2 team members from a particular club NORMAL TEAMS RULES APPLY
Before the event the Team must nominate which a club they will give hosting rights to
Winning Select Team:
If the Select Team wins the Teams Nationals, the Team gains title but hosting rights go to their nominated Club
General Race Rules:
The number of starters permitted to start in any race will be decided by the track Marshal, and his decision will be final and binding
When the Marshal calls the race, vehicles must line up in the grid they have drawn.
If you are unable to make it you can call for 2 minutes.   Only 1 2-minute bell per race can be called
Deliberate aggresive contact before a race is strictly forbidden, and may result in disqualification
Race will commence after the sequence of audio beeps from the Lap Scorers
At this time a GREEN light may be displayed
Race in Progress:
During racing, competitors shall take all proper care
Stationary vehicles are to be avoided wherever possible, and competitors will not attempt to force or steer other vehicles into stationary vehicles.
Competitors cannot remove vehicles during racing
If you require your vehicle to be removed, hand must be raised above your head, and the attention of the Track Marshall is required.   Under their discretion, race may be stopped, and vehicle removed y the Track Marshall
If battery becomes dislodged, and is deemed dangerous by the Race Marshall, the race will be stopped and the vehicle removed by the track Marshall, and will receive a DNF

Vehicles must race in an anti clockwise direction.
Should a competitor find himself in a position where he cannot drive in an anti clockwise direction, he must not attack until in the correct position.   The correct position wis defined as anywhere from a right angle back to the direction of flow of traffic.
Attacking from a stationary position or hitting a stationary car is not permitted, and may result in disqualification.
Those who wish to wait for an opposing member should be moving, however slowly at all times in the correct direction (it must be remembered that this competition is called racing and parked vehicles are not to be considered as part of the competition.)
Any competitor using the wall to an advantage, in the opinion of the Track Marshall may be disqualified.
Any competitor using the pole line to advantage by placing one or more wheels over the pole line to eliminate another competitor may be disqualified
Any competitor deliberately driving infield (to avoid oncoming cars) for a sanctuary (to gain advantage) may be disqualified.
Any competitor purposely driving in the opposite direction may be disqualified.
During racing, the race may be stopped at anytime by the Track Marshal and/or the Lap scorers.   This is done by audio sound and/or a RED light
At this time ALL vehicles must cease from racing, and come to a complete STOP HOWEVER vehicles must move slowly forward and away from the NO STOPPING ZONE near the transponder bridge.
Vehicles must NOT move unless requested by Track Marshal, failure to do so, may result in disqualification
Racing will recommence by audio sound and/or a GREEN light
A Vehcile moving forward before this time may be disqualified
When teams are racing for points, either "first past the post" or "points" racing may decide on the winning team.   The chosen system and points are up to the promoter's discretion.   It is permissible to push your own team members cars at any stage during a teams race, providing that the car doing the pushing has not already received the chequered flag.
Finish of Race:
Race complettion will be by means of an audible sound
Racing   will continue until all able vehicles have completed the lap they were on when the end of race is called.
At completion of this lap, an audible sound may be heard, and/or RED lights may be displayed
All vehicles must then come to a complete STOP, and vehicles are to be safely removed from the track as soon as possible
Vehicles may be driven SLOWLY to aid in extraction from track
Racing or deliberate hitting after the race is completed will NOT be tolerated, and disqualification may pursue
Substitutions:
No Substitute vehicles or drivers may be entered into championship events if a particular vehicle or driver is eliminated during racing.   THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO TEAMS CHAMPIONSHIPS AS TEAMS RACING RULES WILL APPLY.
Code of Conduct:
ALL Verbal and/or Physical Abuse to ANY person, whether to a competitor or spectator, shall be deemed to be conduct prejudical to the sport, and will NOT be tolerated at ANY time.
Failure to abide by this ruling will result in INSTANT disqualification and IMMEDIATE expulsion from the event.
The decision will be made by members of the RC Speedway Committee
The decision will be FINAL and no discussions will be entered into on the day
Further repersussions are at the discretion of the RC Speedway Committee and may also be imposed at a later date.
STREETSTOCK   RULES
This class will be electric streetstocks.   It is a fun class aimed at getting people of all ages into the sport.   We need a feeder class so I came up with a set of rules for construction and racing.
The following rules have been made after consultation with many people from all different clubs.
#1. INTENTION   OF   THE   CLASS.
This class is a "feeder" class.   Almend at new and existing competitors.   The intention of the class is to be a breeding ground for future racers and or a class for people on a low budget.
#2. DONOR   CAR.
#2a. Donor car is to be Tamiya "TT01 or TT01D"
#2b. Silver can standard 540 only.
#2c. Tamiya "TEU101BK" Speed control only.
#2d. Donor cars must be made of plastic materials only.   No alloy hop up parts, Carbon fibre or steel parts.   (Composite plastics are allowed.
#2e. Steel bearings are allowed.
#2f. Tyre and wheel choice is open but no wider than 30mm
#2g. Shocks must be plastic (oil filled allowable) Any spring allowed.   No Swaybars.
#2h. Battery size open.   Dean plugs allowed.
#2i. Standard differentials only (No one way.   Ball or locked diff's)
#3. FABRICATION   SPECIFICATIONS.
#3a. Must resemble a streetstock. Sedan or station wagon body types only.
#3b. Body's can be fabricated from any material.
#3c. Maximum width (including bumpers) is 230mm.
#3d. Minimum height ground to top of roof is 120mm.
#3e. Bumpers/roll cages/radiator hoops (all optional) must be constructed of either 6mm OD round rod maximum or 6mm square maximum.
#3f. Polycarbonate or lexan body's can have bracing beneath the body (6mm OD round or square maximum)
#3g. Maximum weight ready to race (minus battery) is 3kg's
#4. RACING   RULES.
#4a. Streetstocks can race either Clockwise or anti-clockwise (class rep or timer to decide)
#4b. All races will be 3 to 5 minutes long (class rep or timer to decide)
#4c. All cars that start a race will receive 1 point
#4d. All cars that are still mobile after the set time is up will receive 5 points
#4e. Any car that rolls will loose 5 points (you will be able to continue if you land on your wheels)   Cars that are rolled onto side or roof will be removed from the race.
#4f. If you roll a car you will receive 6 points.
#4g. Any car that is deemed to be immobile will be removed from the race (competitors can ask to have their cars removed also)
#4h. Full contact allowed but any car driving or reversing in opposite direction of the race flow to hit a car that is deemed to be deliverate will be exclude from the race and will receive no points.   Deliberate contact with a rolled car will receive the same penalty.
